TMW .NET Protocol Components by Triangle MicroWorks is a production‑proven suite of .NET class libraries for building interoperable SCADA and substation automation solutions. It streamlines the implementation of widely used electric power protocols—such as DNP3, IEC 60870‑5 (101/103/104), IEC 61850, ICCP/TASE.2, and Modbus—so you can create masters/clients, outstations/servers, gateways, and test tools in C# or other .NET languages with consistent, high‑level APIs.

Key capabilities:

  • Broad protocol coverage with a unified, developer‑friendly .NET interface
  • Support for master/client and outstation/server roles, event/unsolicited reporting, time synchronization, file transfer, and data mapping
  • Security features including TLS and DNP3 Secure Authentication to help meet utility cybersecurity requirements
  • High performance and scalability for desktop, server, and embedded Windows or Linux deployments
  • Comprehensive examples, documentation, and responsive technical support to accelerate development
  • Proven interoperability and conformance testing across utility and OEM environments
  • Easy integration with SCADA, HMI, gateway, data historian, and test infrastructures

Typical applications include IED integration, protocol gateways, front‑end processors, DER and renewables integration, lab simulators, and automated test systems.

TMW .NET Protocol Components is developed by Triangle MicroWorks. The most popular version of this product among our users is 3.5. The name of the program executable file is TMWLicenseTool.exe.
